I started drawing as a kid. My mom once gave me paper and pen and, since then, I have never been able to stop. At that time, I love spending my time drawing superheroes, creatures and characters of the cartoons that marvelled me when I was young.

When I grew up, I studied Art and Graphic Design in ESDIP Escuela de Arte (Madrid, Spain) and started devoloping my career directing my first short film «YAKU», and working as a freelance illustrator for several companies, advertising agencies and publishing houses such as Penguin Random House, McGraw Hill, SM, Vaughan, etc. Among other jobs, I was responsible of illustrating the trilogy of middle-grade action bestsellers «Total Jurassic».

I worked as Animation Teacher at ESDIP Escuela de Arte (Madrid, Spain) and Art and Animation Supervisor in its associated production company, ESDIP Animation Studio. My experience has led me to work as production artist in several short films as «Blue&Malone: Casos Imposibles», «IWish…», «Mercury Corp» and director in the award-winning shortfilm «Oldie but Goldie» (2019).

Recently I work as Assistant Director in the upcoming animated film «Robot Dreams» (2023), from Pablo Berger, premiering in Cannes and selected in Annecy.

Beside drawing I love dinosaurs (but, seriously, who doesn’t), learning about the mysteries of the Universe and enjoying movies, comics (Marvel forever!) and sneakers (I have toooooo many, shame, shame…)

I am the proud father of a non-stop-boy and husband of the most perfect woman I could ask in life.

Jacob Sibi-Okumu (Musician)

«Nacho has created exceptional concept art for my animated screenplay. I knew I had found the right guy for the job when he sent me his first sketches and I looked in disbelief at a monkey he had drawn EXACTLY like the one I had pictured in my mind – almost as if he plucked it right from my imagination. Nacho is receptive; an engaged listener who immerses himself in the world you are trying to create. He is communicative; promptly sharing the step-by-step process of his work while being open and willing to make changes, try new ideas and collaborate. Luckily, on top of all this, Nacho is supremely talented and is obviously (and infectiously) passionate about his work, which allows for his tremendous attention to detail to blend with a playful charm that brings your characters and their worlds to life. So if you’re looking for anything different to what I’ve just described, then I don’t really know why you’re here… but if you’re looking for a fun, easy-going time making quality work, then you’re in the right place with Nacho.»

Nacho Pesquera, Character Designer at Skydance

«Working with Nacho is always a gift. Both professionally and personally, it is always a source of talent and generosity.»

Abraham Lopez Guerrero- Creative Manager at Esdip Animation Studio

«Nacho is one of the most creative and efficient people I know. He combines perseverance and visual talent in the same profile. He is a solvent storyteller, an exceptional draftsman and animator with a great sense of rhythm and possing, and particularly fast and imaginative. As creative director at Esdip Animation Studio, after his experience directing the great short Yaku, I spoke with Nacho to take over the direction of Oldie but Goldie and the result could not be better. He is currently the creative manager, the director, the co-director and chief character of two of the projects we are developing, I can´t think of a better person to trust our creatures.»
